I also pamper two cats, Pepper and Shasta, who have never met a pile of clean clothes that they didn't like. Pepper is my slightly heavy-duty male calico, and Shasta is known as "the old lady of the house" at the healthy age of about 15 years old. As in this picture, if she can find a place to comfortably lay, Pepper is destined to follow her and basically lay on top of her as well as occupy most of the remaining space.
And, finally, the baby of the family, Bender! Also known as Mr. Naughty Dog. He's terribly smart and extremely rotten. I have countless Bender stories and look forward to sharing them here.
I absolutely love to bake and find that I have to pace myself so that I don't make more than what people will consume. As you'll learn and see, I love to bake volumes of goodies and take them to work or to the local Ronald McDonald House, but even then, I have to temper my drive to just spend days at a time in the kitchen and churn out tons of confections.
I'm also an avid football fan and enjoy both college and NFL games. There's something about sports and cool weather that just feels satisfying and comforting to me. I always cheer for my alma mater, the Oklahoma State Cowboys (Go Pokes!) and I'm a long time fan of the Oakland Raiders. You gotta give me credit for not being a fair-weather-fan. I've stuck with my teams through the good, the bad, and the ugly, year after year.
